The 1998 Catalog dropped the older cxx numbers that had been used
from 1983 and replaced them with numbers based on the page number
within the catalog, a system that was broken with the first new
release after the catalog was finished! It was possible to identify
specific pieces though for the first time.
This catalog also marks the beginning of the all Warhammer era,
with CItadel increasingly concentrating on support for their home
grown game systems, WHFB, WFRP, WH40k Rogue Trader and Bloodbowl.
The only survivor was the Eternal Champion range.
Most of the pieces in this catalog were carried into the 1991 catalog
(the same as the 1986-1991 compilation), but not all were. I will
try and cross reference the 1988 and 1989 catalogs to the 1991 series
at a later date so that items can be ordered from the Archive services.
